News is no news

I haven't turned on my radio yet today because the sun is shining and it is a beautiful spring day - why ruin it. I don't want to hear more news about the socialization of America and I don't want to see more pictures of Nancy Pelosi. Just for the moment I want to pretend that President Reagan is back in the White House, people are working and prospering, and terrorism is something that other countries must deal with. There's no talk of bailouts, TARP, or national health care. GM and Chrysler are not government owned (& ruined), Guantanamo is not a problem; there is no talk of global warming/climate change. Weren't those wonderful years? They were some of the best in my adult lifetime.
The news we are hearing today is nothing like back then. Today it is all about what the government can do and is doing for us poor dumb peons. In all actuality they are creating misery that will be felt for years. President Obama's "Change" has not been for the good of anyone except big government.
